Water supply can be considered "dirty" due to various factors, including the presence of pollutants, debris, and cleansing chemicals. Our water supply comes from water processing plants. They take water that goes down the drain, add chemicals to sanitize the water. It is then considered safe to ingest and it comes back to your faucets and showers.
The sanitization process adds fluoride, chlorine, metals, and forever chemicals. All of which are unsafe for human consumption.
Your skin, and hair ingest water contaminants at a more efficient rate than you might think. For example, your skin absorbs chlorine at a 75% rate as your body does when you drink it. Just because you drink filtered water, doesn't mean you are protected from contaminants. A filter under your sink or in your refrigerator will remove contaminants from cold water and your drink.
What it does not filter is your hot water. Meaning an unfiltered shower or handwash sink, Leaving you vulnerable to the same contaminants.
The overlook of your contaminated water in places other than your glass of water is leaving you exposed. The new fancy shampoo and hand soap helps, but you need to get to the root of the problem in order for them to work the way they're intended to. You need a whole house water filter
I bet your kids, grandkids and pets are very important to you. I know they are to me! I bet you also want them to drink, bathe in and wash hands in safe water. As covered above... sediment, contaminants and chemicals can be very harmful for your bodies, and that goes for your beloved kids and pets.
Everyone is guilty of it no matter who you are. And I can't blame you. Sometimes they are necessary in emergency situations, but that should be the only time!! The microplastics that live in this water are terrible for you. They can cause cancer. Whether They're fresh from the factory or have been sitting for months waiting to be consumed (which is super normal and worse). But if this is your standard for a water to go, it's time to switch it up. Filter your water properly and take it with you plastic free. And New Jersey may be banning them. There are plenty of articles about how this may become a reality. They banned plastic bags, so I personally would not be surprised if this is next.
THIS IS ACTUAL PIPE THAT I'VE PERSONALLY REPLACED. Both of these houses had salt utilized water softeners.
Your well water is definitely creating issues. It will cause scale to build up in your pipe and your water heater. This causes leaks and unnecessary damage to your water system. To ensure that you take care of your system, you need a water softener (preferably saltless) and a filter to protect yourself from having to spend money on a plumber (me), and more water heaters or pipe repairs than you'll actually need. You can take steps like water heater flushes and anode rod changes to help you out, but they will only push off big problems until you filter.
We offer monthly membership options that will save you money on installation, maintenance, and upkeep. As well as discounts and priority scheduling on any plumbing services.
